Teresa Rebull, Uprooted Soul (2016) is a documentary about politics and art but also about exile and life. The film explores the figure of Teresa Rebull from different angles: as a politician and activist, as an artist, singer and painter, and also as a person. Uprooted soul is a tribute to life and the struggle for one’s ideas, a portrait of a strong, determined woman, with great charisma, and with her own way of thinking.
Co-produced by Televisió de Catalunya
Issued by France 3.
Premiered at Girona Cinemas in Barcelona. The film was also premiered internationally in France, where it has been in different cinemas (Banyuls, Argeles, Elne Cabestany, Port-Vendres). It was also presented in the Imperial Cinemas in Sabadell, the native town of Teresa Rebull.
